Winter Learning Center Supervisor

Summary

The Winter Learning Center Supervisor ensures the smooth daily delivery of ski and snowboard lessons, programs and camps. Working on the snow, they lead instructors and teacher assistants, ensure student safety and teaching quality, and act as the link between the team, guests and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lesson & Program Coordination:
  • Assign instructors to groups based on registrations, ages and ability levels.
  • Welcome participants and ensure lessons start on time.
  • Adjust organization based on weather, volume and absences.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of winter programs, holiday camps and private lessons.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise instructors and teacher assistants on the snow.
  • Build team schedules.
  • Support training and onboarding of new staff.
  • Observe lessons and provide constructive feedback.
• Student Safety:
  • Enforce lesson safety procedures (ratios, teaching zones, child drop-off and pick-up).
  • Respond to incidents and coordinate with ski patrol.
  • Ensure incident reports are completed and submitted.
• Customer Service:
  • Answer questions from parents and participants.
  • Handle complaints and find solutions quickly.
  • Share progress and level recommendations with families.
• Administration & Collaboration:
  • Keep attendance lists and registrations up to date with the ticket office.
  • Track learning center equipment (bibs, cones, teaching aids).
  • Work with ski patrol, lift operations, rentals and Bistro Le HUB.
  • Report to the Guest Experience Director on operations, issues and needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Ski and/or Snowboard Instructor with CSIA and/or CASI (or willingness to obtain certification).
• Experience supervising or coordinating a team.
• Positive leadership and strong organizational skills.
• Good communication in French and English.
• Safety-first mindset.

Work Conditions

• Full-time seasonal position for the winter season.
• Work on weekends, during the holiday period and school breaks.
• Outdoor work on the snow, in all winter weather conditions.
• Reports to the Guest Experience Director.
